Last season, the booster club experimented with various ticket pricing approaches. For the 2013/14 performance season, their will be standard pricing for all concerts:
Adult tickets - $5 each
The Milton High School Orchestra program currently has three separate orchestras: the Chamber Orchestra, the Symphonia, and the Concert Orchestra. In the recent past, our orchestras have received Superior ratings from the LGPE Festival and the Chamber Orchestra received a Good rating as an invited performance group to the National Orchestra Festival in 2008. All orchestras are under the direction of Mr. Richard Bomba.
This site is developed and operated by the Booster Club of the Milton High School Orchestra for the support and benefit of the orchestra players, faculty and parents for the enrichment of the surrounding communities.
Dear Orchestra Parents,
Welcome to a new school year and the Milton HS Orchestra Program's 2013-14 season. First, I just wanted to let everyone know of important concert and booster club dates so that you may place these on your calendar:
Sept. 19, 2013- Orch. Booster Club Meeting/MHS Orch Rm./7-9pm (Annual Membership Meeting-Very Important-Please attend)
Oct. 30, 2013- Orch. Fall Concert/MHS Auditorium/Pizza 6:30/Tuning 7pm/Concert 7:30pm
Dec. 12, 2013-Orch. Winter Concert/MHS Auditorium/same as Oct. 30
Jan. 28, 2014-Orch. Pre-LGPE Concert/MHS Auditorium/6-9pm (exact times per orch. will be sent out after Jan. 7th)
Feb. 11-13, 2014- Orch. LGPE Concerts/Roswell HS Auditorium/TBA (Please save these dates from 8am-10pm as exact dates/times are not released by GMEA organizers until about three weeks before the event. Travel during school hours, county provides buses- travel after school, no county buses with students/parents providing transport.)
Apr. 25, 2014- Annual End-Of-Yr. Orchestra Banquet/Roswell County Club/6-9pm
Apr. 29, 2014- Orch. Spring Concert/MHS Auditorium/same as Oct. 25
More detailed information to follow, but here are the basics-
The MHS Orchestra Program maintains an inventory of formal black dresses and tuxedos for student use. The cost to use these uniforms per school year are as follows:
First Yr. (All Freshmen) $100
Second Yr. $35
Third Yr. $25
Fourth Yr. $25
Please send a check for the relevant amount made payable to Milton HS Orchestra at your earliest convenience (you may also pay at the annual booster meeting on 9/19 in person if you prefer).
We have one major fundraiser scheduled from Oct. 3-17th (Encore Gourmet Cookie Dough). For the benefit of the orchestra program, I hope all students and parents will participate in this endeavor.
